This year, we participated in memorial services at Millen, Victoria Park and East Victoria Park Primary Schools, Windsor Park Nursing Home, Harris Park Tennis Club, Gloucester Park remembrance trotting event as well as the dawn service conducted by the Town of Victoria Park.
The Main Event
Of course our main event was our ANZAC Eve Memorial Service which included official invited guests, members of the general public as well as participation by Girl Guides, Scouts and the Air Training Corps #713 Squadron cadets and instructors. As with all such events as these, it would not have been possible without the generous donations provided each year by community business houses, patrons of the Sub Branch, community members and of course members of the Sub Branch who give their all to ensure it is a successful event. It is a credit to all members who helped that everything went smoothly. Very positive feedback has been received from members of the general public that attended. My personal thanks to you all for a job ‘well done’.
This year RSL Headquarters allowed Sub Branches to fund-raise up to and including ANZAC Day (same principles as Remembrance/Poppy Day). To those members and others who gave their time – thank you.
