The Sub Branch can be extremely proud of the outcome of our Centenary presentation recognising 100 years of ANZAC on the eve of 24th April 2015. Without the input and help of committee and members we would not have been able to achieve our goal. Well done to you all.As you can imagine, it was a period in which historically, the Sub Branch has held to the tenet of the RSL – “Lest We Forget” – has been observed. It is important to recognise, and say thank you, to all those organisations that supported and participated in our venture. There are too many to list here but recognition has been made to them by means of letters of appreciation and other means.

Following on from ANZAC Day, membership has increased due to the exposure gained and we now have a membership total of 125 members. It has been most encouraging to welcome new members to the Sub Branch and with October not too far away our AGM (Sunday 11th October at 10am) will be held. It is vitally important that the Sub Branch continues to prosper and with this in mind I would encourage you to consider nominating for a committee position. In this newsletter you will find listed current committee members who are available to discuss with you any matter where you feel that you may need help or advice. Conversely, the Sub Branch is open Monday and Wednesday and you are all welcome to come and chat over a cuppa – tea or coffee.
I would like to remind you all that Centenary events will continue to be held right up to 2019 when the Sub Branch will celebrate its own Centenary year. It is incumbent on us to honour this occasion in the best possible way by preplanning as soon as we can for our 100th year. The success of preplanning is evident by our involvement with the ToVP who have been most supportive of our Centenary achievement.
